I was fast asleep when my phone rang at 7am. I wondered who would call me at this hour?! Dragging my boneless like hands to the phone to answer. Oh! TO my surprise its my 'Chiu Chiu', Uncle Shehab. He requested me to accompany aunty Griti and Councellor Irham from Indonesia on their trip to Central Region kampungs - Selangau, Mukkah and the Sibu city. I've never been far out of Kuching before and plus it's set to be a 6 hour driving trip! So, as I like to do it, I prefer to let my pictures speak. :)
The longhouse where we spent the night at! Nearly 18 houses in one stretch!
Sort of the feeling where everything was made out of trees. :\ Its cold in the night!
Outside!
the two man walkway corridor in the house
the place on the right is the mini toilet and behind those 'tongs' is the place where we squat and bath. =\
The youths with Councellor Irham in red shirt! :)
The awful road condition from Selangau to Mukkah. Knocked my head on top of the Kancil till I literally had a bump on it.... =\
The house where we had a stop and had the first taste of...........
Snake meat!!!!! They caught the phyton themselves. :O
Honestly, it tasted like chicken and it is awesome!
Now to the purpose of our visit. Meeting with the AGC of Mukkah. Serious business.
The family makes the best biscuits everrrrrr......
3rd day, to Sibu! Its a very somewhat chaotic town with cars 360 degrees around you. I slept the entire time during the meeting at the Bahai Center. Teeheeee~
The night slipping away and the first day of fasting was a success! Back home to Kuching and couldnt take anymore pics cos battery mati... =.=
Anways, sorry for the late post. I just bought a new memory card reader cos my old one was lost so I couldnt upload any photos. So, my suggestion, go out and explore the world because there's so much more than meets the eye. ;)
Maxing out! =]
